Document verification
AI reads the document. The portal confirms it. Your reviewer decides.
Every vendor claim arrives on paper — a Zakat certificate, a Nitaqat level, three years of audited statements. Muahil checks the paper twice: an AI extraction compared with what the vendor typed, then a lookup on the issuing government portal compared with the AI. What reaches your reviewer is not a pile of PDFs — it is a short list of disagreements.
Saudi documents supported today
Attach a check to any document your form collects. Thirteen certificate flows ship today, eleven of them confirmed end to end against the issuing portal. Muahil is not a government service — it reads the portals a buyer would otherwise check by hand.

How to read the status column. “Portal confirmed” means the whole chain has been run against a live certificate through Muahil's production route into Saudi Arabia, as of September 2026: the AI read the document, the issuing portal was asked with a number taken from that reading, and the two agreed. Commercial registrations issued before the 2025 Commercial Register law carry a QR to a Ministry of Commerce host that no longer exists, so those go to the reviewer. The Chamber of Commerce check reads the chamber's code on the certificate, which is a check of the document and not a chamber confirmation. The address proof is read by the AI and left entirely to your reviewer.
Long documents, read page by page — with receipts
An audited statement runs to forty pages; the figures a criterion grades sit on two of them. Muahil reads the statement one page at a time, keeps what each page reported, and merges the answers — recording which page each figure came from.
A reviewer who doubts a number opens the statement at that page, not at page one of forty. And a page whose own header names another year contributes nothing, whatever it read — so the prior-year comparative column never masquerades as the year being claimed.
Figures are compared by arithmetic
Whether two figures agree is decided by arithmetic to a stated tolerance — never by asking the model its opinion. A buyer defending a score can reproduce every match with a calculator.
One flow, once per row — one bad scan costs one row
A flow can run once per row of a repeating section. Ten completed projects are ten independent checks, each with its own inputs, its own extraction and its own verdict.
An unreadable scan fails its own row and nothing else. The reviewer re-runs that one check or confirms the field by hand — the other nine rows never notice.
The machine reports. A human decides.
No flow in Muahil declares a document acceptable. The machine moves the pipeline and writes down what it read; the verdict belongs to your reviewer:
- Override — correct a wrong reading, kept as a separate layer over the original, never overwriting it.
- Field confirmation — “I have looked, and this answer stands.” The one act that moves a score by hand, and it is logged as such.
- Re-run — start the check again; the machine's answers are replaced, the human's are kept.
Every act lands in the activity log, grouped per check, coloured green, yellow or red — the record you will lean on when someone asks how a vendor got through.
Arabic in, both languages out
The flows read Arabic documents and record both the Arabic text and its English translation — certificate types, taxpayer names, addresses, Nitaqat levels, Hijri and Gregorian dates. Your Arabic-speaking reviewer and your English-speaking auditor read the same record.
- AI extraction completed — 14 fields
- Mismatch: certificate number differs from vendor's answer
- Portal lookup agreed with the document
- Reviewer override: vendor's typo corrected
- Reviewer verdict: verified
Verified answers are what scoring stands on
Mark any field “must be verified” and an unverified answer is set aside rather than quietly scored zero — and the score says so. Verification is not a checkbox before qualification; it is what makes the qualification defensible.
